ABOUT ME
I have been an educator since 1996.
My career started in the School
District of Philadelphia as a reading
and 3rd grade teacher. In 1998, I
became part of the City of
Burlington Public Schools.
Over the last 26 years, I have
taught 1st and 2nd grades at
Captain James Lawrence and Elias
Boudinot Schools. This is the fourth year where I will be at Wilbur Watts Intermediate School full-time teaching Technology.
When I am not teaching, I am a dog mom. I rescued two cocker spaniels from The Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, NJ. My one dog, Peanut, passed away in my arms in February 2020. My other dog, Brownie, also passed away in my arms in October 2021. I adopted a puppy during the pandemic! I was fostering him for Animal Welfare Association and decided to keep him. His name is Iggy Biggy Chew. He was born on March 31, 2020 into a hoarding situation in TX. My parents and I visited Maine last summer. You will see Iggy enjoying a walk by the lake. Our plan is to make a visit to the Poconos this summer!
I am an aunt to 3 nieces aged 23-4. I have been lucky enough to spend a lot of time with my oldest niece, Sarah. We have traveled extensively together - nationally and internationally. Our last big adventure was a Hawaiian Cruise that visited Hawaii, Maui, Kauai and Oahu in July 2022. We celebrated her graduation from Rowan University, her 21st birthday, and my 50th birthday!
